Allen has been practicing domestic and international trademark law for forty years. After time with
two small IP boutiques in Philadelphia and Chicago, he joined The Coca-Cola Company where, for more than
twenty years, he was responsible for the international COCA-COLA trademark portfolio’s maintenance
and enforcement. Eventually becoming Coke’s Assistant General Counsel, Allen also supervised the
Company’s Litigation, Marketing, Intellectual Property and Licensing legal staff attorneys.
Mr. Greenberg also has substantial experience in the areas of Franchising, Sports and Talent
Sponsorships, IP Due Diligence, Distribution issues, and domestic and international Competition law. He
also has expertise in all areas of Copyright law and practice.
After his time with The Coca-Cola Company, Allen was a trademark partner in the local firms of King &
Spalding, Duane Morris and Adorno + Yoss.
Greenberg has been a frequent speaker at domestic and international IP symposia, for which he has also
written many papers and articles. As an adjunct professor, he taught Trademark Law for more than a decade
at the Emory University School of Law.
Allen’s clients range from multi-national corporations to individual entrepreneurs.
He resides on Lake Lanier and in Midtown Atlanta with his wife Beth and his two Golden Retrievers,
George and Stanley.
