Dana A. Schwind

Dana A. Schwind practices primarily in the areas of intellectual property (trademarks, trade secrets and copyright), licensing and distribution of technology, and related protection and enforcement.

Dana assists companies in establishing and protecting their intellectual property through trademark, trade secret and copyright protection. She has experience counseling clients on all aspects of trademark law, including trademark selection and searching, development and enhancement of trademark portfolio strategy, trademark prosecution and maintenance, trademark disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, trademark licensing, trademark coexistence agreements, trademark policing and enforcement, and due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and private investments. In addition, Dana assists clients with domain name and other Internet disputes. Finally, Dana counsels clients on properly protecting their trade secrets and assists clients with filing copyright registration applications with the U.S. Copyright Office.

Dana’s technology practice focuses on a variety of technology matters, including licensing and distribution of technology. This includes drafting, review and negotiation of various technology and related agreements, such as license, consulting, distribution, joint ventures and strategic alliances, software development, hosting, systems integration, non-disclosure and proprietary rights agreements as well as intellectual property agreements with employees and contractors.

Prior to joining the firm, Dana was with 360 Venture Law, a small boutique firm in Atlanta, and prior to 360 Venture Law, Dana was Of Counsel at Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP.

Dana graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Boston College in 1993 and received a Juris Doctor degree from University of Miami in 1996.

Dana is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Florida Bar.
